Indie Feature LUT Pipeline on a Shoestring Budget - Seeking Advice!
Hey everyone,
I'm pulling focus on an indie feature right now, shooting with an AMIRA, and the post-production budget is seriously tight, we're talking minuscule. We're trying to keep things as streamlined and cost-effective as possible.
My main concern right now is how to build a robust LUT pipeline. We need to manage our show LUTs and any CDL adjustments effectively, from set to edit, without the luxury of expensive DIT software or even a dedicated DIT on set. I've been doing some basic look application in Resolve for dailies and trying to manually track CDL values, but it feels clunky and prone to error down the line.
What are your go-to, budget-friendly strategies for handling show LUTs and CDLs in this kind of scenario? How do you ensure consistency and proper application when every dollar counts?
