Directing for Pilot

We're shooting a dramatic pilot in Nashville, TN, with principal photography planned for late October 2026, likely a 2-3 day shoot. This is an independent production seeking a talented Director to bring our story to life. The pilot is a gritty, character-driven drama with a strong musical element, exploring themes of redemption and creative struggle in the Nashville scene. We're aiming for a tone reminiscent of indie films with a focus on authentic performances and atmospheric visuals. Key responsibilities include collaborating with the producer and composer to refine the vision, leading the crew on set, guiding actors to achieve compelling performances, and ensuring the pilot is delivered on schedule and within creative scope. We're looking for someone with a strong visual style and a proven ability to translate a script into captivating screen action. Candidates should have 3-5 years of directing experience, ideally with short films, web series, or previous pilot work. A compelling reel showcasing your storytelling ability and command of dramatic narrative is essential. Experience working with actors and a solid understanding of indie production workflows are crucial.
