Color Grader, Doc Feature
Our independent production is seeking an entry-level Color Grader to join our small post-production team for an upcoming documentary feature. This film explores the impact of community-led environmental initiatives in urban settings, featuring a blend of observational footage and interviews, aiming for a natural, authentic, and emotionally resonant look. We need someone who can help us establish a consistent and visually appealing aesthetic that enhances the story without distracting from its subject matter. Key responsibilities include collaborating with the director to define the visual tone, performing primary and secondary color corrections, matching shots across various cameras and lighting conditions, and delivering final graded files. You should have a foundational understanding of color theory, experience with industry-standard grading software (such as DaVinci Resolve or similar), and a keen eye for detail. While we do not expect you to own high-end grading monitors at this entry level, a well-calibrated display and a reliable workstation are necessary. Please provide a link to your reel showcasing your best work. This is a paid position, offering $300-500 per day based on experience. We anticipate approximately 3-4 weeks of work, primarily in October 2026, with flexible hours. We will provide all project media, a project brief, and a collaborative work environment in Los Angeles, CA. This is a great opportunity to gain feature-length documentary experience.
