Sound Designer, NOLA Music Video

An independent R&B music video with a dark, atmospheric vibe needs a skilled Sound Designer. We're looking to create an immersive, almost dreamlike auditory experience, blending ambient textures with crisp, impactful sound effects to elevate the visual narrative. This isn't just about mixing; it's about crafting the sonic world from the ground up, making the music video truly stand out. We're aiming for something stylized and emotionally resonant. You'll be responsible for all aspects of sound post-production, including sound effects design, foley, dialogue cleanup (if any), and final mixing to spec. We need someone who can work largely independently, bringing their creative vision to the table. You should have your own workstation and a strong portfolio showcasing previous sound design work, especially for narrative or music video projects. Ideally, you have 3-5 years of professional experience. We anticipate about 3 weeks of work, starting in late October 2026, primarily remote but with potential for an in-person session in New Orleans as needed. This is a deferred pay position, with compensation tied to the project's success and distribution.
