AI Audio Tools & Loudness: Easier or More Complex?

Hey everyone,

Nadine here, working on a series of promos recently, shooting on a V-RAPTOR XL with an AMIRA for B-cam, grabbing audio with an MKH 8060 into a MixPre-10 II. I'm always meticulous about logging and trying to flag potential audio issues for post, especially considering the varied deliverables these days.

Lately, I’ve been hearing a lot about new AI-powered audio tools and advanced plugins that promise to simplify everything from noise reduction to final mix. This got me thinking about 'Loudness and Compliance.' We all know the headache of getting those specs just right to avoid 'too quiet, too loud' rejections, whether it's for broadcast, streaming, or web.

My question is: are these new technologies actually making your life easier in post when it comes to meeting specific loudness standards (e.g., LUFS targets)? Or are they introducing new complexities or unexpected artifacts that make the compliance process trickier? What’s your practical experience been?
