Color Grading for Short Film

An independent production is seeking a talented mid-level Colorist to join our team for an ambitious sci-fi drama short film. This project explores themes of memory, identity, and alternate realities, told through a visually driven narrative. We're aiming for a slightly desaturated, cool, and contemplative look that evolves with the character's journey. It's a character piece with a strong visual aesthetic. Key responsibilities include creating cohesive looks for the film, managing color correction and grading, and ensuring final deliverables meet all technical specifications. We shot on an ARRI Alexa Mini, so familiarity with that workflow is a plus. You'll need your own grading suite and software. We're looking for someone with a strong reel demonstrating experience with narrative shorts, a keen eye for detail, and a collaborative spirit. The picture lock is anticipated for early December 2026, with an estimated 2-3 weeks of remote work following that. This is a deferred compensation position (points plus deferred).
