Editing for Feature Film

Our upcoming independent feature film, a suspenseful sci-fi thriller set in a dystopian future, is looking for a talented Editor to join our Vancouver-based team. This project offers a unique opportunity to shape a compelling narrative and bring a distinctive visual style to life. We're seeking someone with a strong sense of pacing, story structure, and visual storytelling, who can help us craft an engaging and intense experience for audiences. Key responsibilities include assembling footage, refining sequences, incorporating sound design elements, and collaborating closely with the director to achieve the desired tone and impact. You'll be working primarily with footage shot on RED and ARRI systems. We don't require specific gear from you, but proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro is essential. Please provide a link to your editing reel or examples of previous work with your application. This is a feature-length project, so while the exact schedule is flexible, we anticipate about 6-8 weeks of work starting in the second half of October 2026. The role is based in Vancouver, BC. We are open to all experience levels, from emerging talent to seasoned professionals. Compensation is negotiable and will be discussed based on experience.
