Editing for Short Film

Seeking a talented Senior Editor for an exciting independent short film, volunteer (credit + meals) based in Seoul, KR. We're looking for about 3 weeks of work, starting around December 6, 2026, for a 15-20 minute sci-fi thriller with psychological elements. The story is a tense, character-driven piece focusing on a lone astronaut's descent into paranoia. We're aiming for a strong festival run, so a sharp, impactful edit is crucial. We wrapped principal photography last week, so we have all the footage ready for you. Key responsibilities include assembling initial cuts, collaborating closely with the director on pacing and narrative flow, implementing visual effects elements (our VFX Supervisor is leading the project), sound design integration, and preparing the final picture lock for color and sound finishing. You'll have creative input and be a vital part of shaping the final vision. Requirements: Proven experience as a lead editor on narrative short or feature projects, a strong portfolio or reel demonstrating your storytelling and technical skills, and familiarity with professional editing software (e.g., DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro). While we appreciate editors with their own setup, we can provide a workstation if needed. We'll provide all meals during working hours. This is a great opportunity to get a strong credit on a high-potential project with a dedicated crew.
