Location Scouting: How are you adapting to AI/VP in your tech stack & bidding?

Hey everyone,

Sofia Reyes here, a location scout always looking to keep things fresh. I've been wrestling with a big question lately, especially with how fast things are moving.

Over the last 18 months, we've seen incredible leaps with AI tools like Runway Gen-3 for concepting and virtual production with Unreal Engine becoming more mainstream. My company is trying to stay competitive, and honestly, I'm feeling a bit behind the curve.

We're still largely relying on traditional scouting methods, though I've been experimenting with AI image generation for mood boards and initial concept pitches to directors, it helps them visualize without a full scout. But when it comes to the actual bidding process or our core tech stack beyond basic GIS, I'm at a loss.

For those of you in similar roles or production companies, how has your tech stack evolved in the last year and a half? More importantly, how has this influenced your bidding process to stay competitive in a world where virtual sets and AI-assisted pre-vis are becoming so prevalent?
