Camera Operator (B-Cam), Corporate Doc

Corporate Video Camera Toronto, ON any Budget: $200-400/day

We are a small independent production team preparing for an upcoming corporate documentary project, and we're looking to fill a crucial Camera Operator role. This project focuses on innovative tech startups in Toronto, offering a dynamic and engaging narrative that highlights local entrepreneurship. The tone will be modern and inspiring, blending interview segments with observational, verité-style footage of their operations. We aim for a polished, cinematic look even within a corporate context. Key responsibilities include operating a second camera (B-cam) for interviews and supporting the A-cam during on-location shoots, ensuring consistent framing and exposure, and assisting with setup/teardown. You'll work closely with the lead DP to achieve the desired visual aesthetic. Applicants should have their own reliable camera package, ideally a mirrorless or DSLR kit capable of professional video recording (e.g., Sony A7SIII, Panasonic GH5, Canon R5 C, etc.) with relevant lenses, and basic lighting/grip gear. Experience with corporate or documentary shoots is a plus, but we are open to strong candidates at any experience level who can demonstrate a keen eye and technical proficiency through a reel or portfolio. Shoot dates are primarily scheduled for the first half of November 2026, encompassing approximately 5-7 full days of work. We anticipate 8-10 hour shoot days. Compensation is $200-400 per day, depending on experience and gear provided, plus lunch and mileage for local travel.
