Editor, Feature Doc (Montreal)

Following a tenacious Montreal chef on her journey to reclaim her culinary legacy, this documentary offers an intimate look at passion, resilience, and the evolving food scene. We're seeking a skilled Editor to help us craft a compelling narrative for this upcoming independent production. This role involves shaping raw footage into a cohesive and emotionally resonant story, working closely with the director. You'll be responsible for rough cuts, fine cuts, and preparing for sound design and color grading. We're looking for someone with a strong storytelling instinct, proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (or similar NLE), and a keen eye for detail. Experience with documentary editing is a definite plus, but not strictly required for the right creative vision. Please include a link to your reel or samples of your work. The bulk of the editing will take place remotely, with some in-person collaboration sessions in Montreal as needed. We anticipate about 8-10 weeks of work, primarily in October 2026 and November 2026. This is a partnership opportunity, offering a Co-producer credit and backend participation, suitable for someone looking to invest their talent in a meaningful project.
