Senior Editor, Austin Short Film

Seeking a talented Senior Editor for an independent short film, a psychological drama with a unique narrative structure centered around memory and grief. This project offers a compelling story and strong visual potential. We're looking for someone who can help shape complex emotional arcs and maintain a precise, atmospheric tone. Key responsibilities include assembling footage, refining pacing, collaborating closely with the director on creative direction, and managing the post-production workflow. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in narrative short film editing, a strong sense of storytelling, and proficiency with industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve). Please provide a reel or portfolio showcasing your best narrative work, especially projects with a dramatic or psychological bent. The post-production period is expected to be about 3-4 weeks, starting in late October 2026. This is a paid position, offering $150-300 per day depending on experience. We plan for remote work primarily, with occasional in-person sessions in Austin for reviews and final deliverables.
