Documentary Camera Los Angeles, CA any Budget: $200-400/day

Los Angeles, early November 2026, for a 3-week documentary shoot. We're seeking a skilled 1st Assistant Camera to join our independent production. This feature-length documentary explores the fascinating subculture of competitive miniature model building, focusing on the intricate craft and personal stories of its most dedicated practitioners. The tone is observational and intimate, with a focus on capturing authentic moments and visual detail. You'll be working closely with a small, passionate crew. Key responsibilities include precise focus pulling, camera maintenance, lens changes, and assisting with setup and breakdown. We're looking for someone with solid experience on documentary sets, ideally with their own follow focus system and basic camera toolkit. A reel or work samples demonstrating your focus pulling abilities are highly valued. The daily rate is $200-400, based on experience. We'll be providing all main camera body and lens packages. Shoot days will generally be 8-10 hours, with some flexibility depending on location. Please send your resume and relevant experience by October 26, 2026.
