Cinematography for Pilot

Pilot Cinematography New Orleans, LA any Budget: $300-500/day

When a brilliant but reclusive software engineer discovers a new form of digital consciousness, he becomes the target of a shadowy corporate syndicate determined to control it. We're an independent production seeking a skilled First Assistant Camera (1st AC) for an upcoming pilot episode, shooting in New Orleans, LA. This is a character-driven, sci-fi thriller with a grounded, slightly dark tone, aiming for a cinematic feel that evokes a sense of both wonder and paranoia. We’re looking for someone with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for crafting compelling visuals. Your primary responsibility will be maintaining critical focus throughout takes, overseeing camera and lens preparation, and managing media. This role is crucial to the success of our pilot, ensuring the visual consistency and quality our Director of Photography (DP) envisions. We're looking for someone with experience pulling focus in narrative environments, comfortable with a variety of camera systems, and possessing a strong understanding of lens mechanics. Please include a link to your reel or relevant project examples. Shoot dates are approximately 5 days in November 2026, with an additional 1-2 prep days. Hours will be standard 10-12 hour days. Compensation is $300-500/day, depending on experience. We'll provide lunch, snacks, and water on set. This is a great opportunity to work on an exciting project and expand your network in the local film community.
