Directing for Music Video

Seeking an experienced director for a high-energy, volunteer-based music video shoot in Manchester. This is for an independent, female-led pop/rock artist, with a tone that's vibrant, edgy, and a bit theatrical. We're aiming for something visually striking and story-driven to really make an impact for this upcoming project. The track is super catchy, and we have some exciting location ideas. We anticipate a 1-2 day shoot during the last week of October 2026, with some prep work needed beforehand. Post-production will be handled separately. Your key responsibilities will include visualising the artist's concept, blocking scenes, guiding performances, and working closely with the DP and production team to execute the vision. You'll need your own reliable transportation and ideally some basic directing equipment (monitor, director's finder, etc.), though we'll have a camera package and lighting. Please have a strong reel demonstrating your directorial flair, especially in narrative or performance-based pieces.
