Director, Commercial (LA Shoot)

An independent production is seeking a talented Director to lead an upcoming commercial shoot in Los Angeles. This project is for a unique beauty product, focusing on a natural, aspirational tone with a touch of modern minimalism. We're looking for someone with a strong visual storytelling sense who can elevate the product's appeal through engaging composition and performance direction. This commercial will be dynamic, featuring product shots blended with lifestyle vignettes. We need a director who is comfortable working efficiently with a small, dedicated team and can bring fresh ideas to the table. Key responsibilities include visual concept development, guiding performances, collaborating with the DP to achieve the desired and ensuring the overall creative vision is executed on set. While previous directing experience is a plus, we are open to emerging talent with a compelling reel or portfolio that showcases their directorial eye. You'll need to bring your own creative vision, but we’ll handle all other equipment needs. The shoot is anticipated to be a 1-2 day commitment, likely around October 20, 2026, within standard 10-hour days. This is a paid position, offering $250 per day flat, and catering will be provided on set. We're excited to see your work and hear your approach.
