Gaffer for Feature Film, Oct 2026

Seeking a talented Gaffer for an independent feature film shooting in Los Angeles, CA starting early October 2026. This is a paid position at $300-500/day for approximately 3 weeks of work, based on experience and skillset. We are looking for an experienced gaffer to lead our lighting department on an intimate psychological drama with noir elements. The project is an upcoming independent production, focusing on character-driven suspense with a moody, stylized visual tone. Your responsibilities will include collaborating closely with the DP on lighting design, managing the grip and electric team, ensuring safety protocols, and maintaining all lighting equipment. We require applicants to have significant experience gaffing narrative features or high-end shorts, a strong understanding of various lighting techniques, and the ability to work efficiently within a moderate budget.
