Screenwriting for Feature Film

Seeking a talented Screenwriter for an independent feature film production based in Vancouver, BC. This project is a psychological thriller with a grounded, character-driven tone, exploring themes of memory, paranoia, and betrayal. It's a gripping story with unexpected twists that aims to keep audiences on the edge of their seats. We're looking to begin development work immediately, with an aim to shoot in late 2027. We anticipate about 8-12 weeks of writing and revision work, potentially spread over several months. You will be responsible for developing a full feature-length screenplay from a detailed treatment and collaborating closely with the director to refine character arcs and plot points. This includes drafting, incorporating feedback, and delivering polished script versions. While not essential, prior experience writing thrillers or features is a plus. Please submit a resume or CV along with a writing sample (preferably a short script, scene, or treatment for a feature film) that showcases your narrative voice and ability to craft suspense. Compensation is negotiable based on experience and will be discussed upon interview. This is an excellent opportunity for any writer, from emerging talent to seasoned professionals, to contribute to a compelling independent production.
