Screenwriting for Web Series

Seeking a Senior Screenwriter for an upcoming independent web series, a dark comedy exploring the absurdities of the gig economy. Our project blends sharp dialogue with quirky, character-driven scenarios, aiming for a tone somewhere between “Atlanta” and early “Curb Your Enthusiasm.” We need someone to hit the ground running, collaborating closely on story arcs, character development, and refining scripts for our 6-episode season. This is a passion project, and we are all contributing our time and talent to bring it to life. Your key responsibilities will include developing episode outlines, writing and rewriting scripts based on feedback, and participating in virtual writers' room sessions. We are looking for someone with extensive prior screenwriting experience, ideally with web series or short-form narrative content, and a strong portfolio demonstrating your ability to craft compelling stories and engaging dialogue. Please provide a link to your writing samples or a portfolio. While this is a volunteer position, it offers a fantastic opportunity to collaborate with a dedicated crew, build your reel with high-quality content, and contribute to a project with creative freedom. We anticipate about 8-10 weeks of concentrated writing work, with flexible hours. We're looking to start collaboration immediately, with principal photography planned for late November or early December 2026. We'd like to hear from you by November 23, 2026.
