Script Editor, Web Series (Lagos)

When a brilliant but disgraced tech mogul returns to Lagos, his past inventions come back to haunt him in terrifying ways, forcing him to confront a supernatural threat he inadvertently created. We're seeking a talented Script Editor for a new, independent web series, a psychological thriller with elements of African folklore and technology. Your primary role will be to refine and polish existing scripts, ensuring narrative consistency, character development, dialogue flow, and overall storytelling impact. You'll work closely with the lead screenwriter to enhance the script's tension and emotional depth. This is an entry-level partnership opportunity, ideal for someone looking to build their portfolio and gain significant experience. We're looking for someone with a strong understanding of script formatting and storytelling principles, an excellent eye for detail, and a passion for genre storytelling. Previous experience in script coverage, editing, or creative writing is a plus, but not strictly required if you demonstrate a clear aptitude. You'll need access to your own computer and reliable internet for remote work. This project offers revenue share compensation, meaning you'll participate in the financial success of the series. Script refinement is expected to take place over about 4-6 weeks, with production tentatively slated for early December 2026. This is a remote position based in Lagos, with occasional virtual meetings. Show us what you can do to elevate our story!
