Web Series Screenwriter, Indie Comedy

We are a small independent production team currently seeking a talented and adaptable Screenwriter for an upcoming comedy web series. This project is a lighthearted, character-driven series with a quirky tone, focusing on the everyday absurdities of urban life. We're looking for someone who can bring fresh, witty dialogue and relatable situations to our narratives, ensuring each episode feels authentic and engaging. You'll be working closely with our director to develop and refine scripts for six 10-15 minute episodes. Key responsibilities include outlining episode arcs, drafting original scripts, incorporating feedback, and ensuring continuity across the series. Experience writing for web series or short-form content is a plus, but we’re open to all experience levels, including emerging writers with a strong voice. You should have a portfolio or writing samples showcasing your comedic style and storytelling ability. This is a remote-friendly position, though local candidates in Mexico City are welcome. We anticipate approximately 3-4 weeks of writing work, starting around mid-October 2026. Compensation for this role is $2000-3000 per week, depending on experience and scope. No specific gear is required for this role, just your writing tools and creativity.
