Seeking a mid-level screenwriter for an independent web series, offering $250/day flat for approximately 10-15 days of work, primarily remote with some in-person meetings in Portland. This is for a comedic thriller about an unlikely group of amateur detectives who uncover a local conspiracy, blending witty dialogue with suspenseful plot twists. We're aiming for a fresh, slightly absurd tone with grounded characters. Responsibilities include developing episode outlines, drafting scripts, and incorporating feedback from the creative team. Experience writing for episodic content, especially comedy or thriller genres, is essential. You'll need access to your own screenwriting software, like Final Draft or Celtx. Please provide a portfolio or samples of your screenwriting work, particularly comedic or suspenseful material, demonstrating strong character voice and plot development. We anticipate script delivery for a series of 5-7 episodes, with principal photography planned for around December 12, 2026.
