Screenwriting for Music Video

A dazzling, kaleidoscopic music video needs a screenwriter to bring its visual narrative to life. We are an independent production looking for a creative storyteller to craft a short, engaging treatment for an upcoming alt-pop music video for a Toronto-based artist. The track is energetic and introspective, blending upbeat rhythms with thoughtful lyrics about navigating personal growth. We envision a vibrant, slightly surreal narrative, perhaps incorporating elements of urban fantasy or a dream-like journey, complementing the song's unique sound. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to build their portfolio with a visually driven project. Your key responsibility will be developing a concise, compelling screen treatment, approximately 1-2 pages, outlining the visual story, key scenes, and emotional arc that will align with the song's mood and lyrics. We are open to writers at any experience level, from emerging talents to seasoned professionals. While a reel isn't strictly required, any past examples of creative writing or visual storytelling would be a great asset. We anticipate needing the treatment completed within approximately 1-2 weeks of being brought on board, with potential for some revisions.
