VFX Artist, Feature Film (Brooklyn)
Seeking a mid-level VFX Artist for an upcoming independent feature film shooting in Brooklyn, NY. This is a paid position, offering $200-400/day, with work expected to begin around November 3, 2026, and extend for approximately 3-4 weeks, depending on the project's evolving needs. We're looking for someone to handle approximately 15-20 shots, focusing on cleanup, compositing, and minor CGI integrations. This psychological thriller, set in modern-day Brooklyn, has a gritty, grounded aesthetic, so the VFX work needs to be subtle and support the realism, not distract from it. Your expertise will be crucial in enhancing the film's visual narrative and ensuring a polished final look. Key responsibilities include rotoscoping, wire removal, plate cleanup, basic green screen keying, and integrating 2D/3D elements into live-action footage. You'll need your own workstation and software (e.g., Nuke, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve Fusion). Strong compositing skills and a keen eye for detail are essential. Please submit a reel demonstrating relevant feature film or high-end short film experience. While the role is primarily remote, occasional on-site meetings in Brooklyn for reviews and collaboration will be required. We will provide all necessary footage, reference materials, and clear creative direction.
