Location Scout/Manager, Docu-Series (LA)
This is a compelling, interview-driven documentary series focusing on the vibrant, often hidden, subcultures within Los Angeles. We are an independent production looking for an entry-level Locations professional to help us secure a variety of authentic, visually rich backdrops that reflect the diverse stories we're telling. This is a great opportunity to get hands-on experience on an upcoming project with a passionate team. We need someone who can scout, research, and permit locations, working closely with our small production company. Key responsibilities include identifying suitable filming sites, obtaining necessary permits and clearances, managing location logistics on shoot days, and coordinating with property owners. You should have strong communication skills, an organized approach, and a good eye for compelling environments. While experience is a plus, a willingness to learn and a proactive attitude are most important. Access to a reliable car is essential for scouting. We don't expect you to provide gear, just your expertise and enthusiasm. Shoot dates are TBD but will likely be concentrated over 1-2 weeks in late October or early November 2026, with some prep work leading up to it. Compensation will be determined based on experience. We'll be reviewing applications for this role through November 19, 2026, so please send your resume and any relevant experience soon.
