Locations for Short Film

Filming a short, character-driven sci-fi thriller in the Los Angeles area around the last week of November 2026. This independent production explores themes of memory and identity through a visually evocative lens, and we're looking for a Locations Manager to help bring our world to life. Your primary responsibilities will include scouting and securing suitable filming locations, negotiating access, managing location agreements, and coordinating logistics for our small crew. We are seeking someone with a keen eye for atmospheric settings, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively. Experience level is open, whether you're a seasoned pro or looking to gain hands-on experience in a key department. While specific gear isn't required for this role, access to reliable transportation is essential for scouting. This is a volunteer position offering screen credit, IMDb credit, and meals provided on set during an estimated 3-4 day shoot. Prep work for scouting and securing locations would begin approximately 2-3 weeks before the shoot, depending on your availability.
